The 10X Rule or 10X Rule The author has proven that if we want to be successful, we must do at least 10 times more than others. What will the story and method be like? Let’s find the answer from the book The 10X Rule – The only difference between success and failure.

The 10X Rule: The Key to All That Extraordinary Success
They say that our lives are driven forward by “goals”, which are goals that make us want to continue living each day with meaning, in the hope that one day we will eventually reach that goal.
“In a working society, there are many goal setters, but few achieve them.”
But in reality, it is found that not everyone can reach their goals. Because many people choose to change their goals along the way. Or they choose to run away. And there are still many people who choose to have goals just set without doing anything to reach the goals they have set. That is why in this world there are both people who are “successful” and people who are “disappointed”. And there is also another group of people who are pitiful, which are those who “expect” and “despair” as well.
So how can the 10X rule from this book help us?
This book may make many people wonder what the 10X rule really is? And if you have the chance to read the blurb at the back of the book until the end, it may create a little hope for yourself, and have expectations that this book will give us some secrets or methods to help us achieve success. I believe that we will not be disappointed because the details in this book will teach us how to make our goals come true or maybe even do more and be 10 times better.
“The 10X rule says you have to do at least 10 times more than everyone else.”
Grant Cardone is a very successful real estate investor. Over the years, he has founded many successful companies. People ask him about the secret to his success. He found that he was successful because he followed the 10X rule. He would do anything to get success and every way he talked about was thinking, doing and trying 10 times harder than anyone else.
“We will reach our set goals only when we start to do it in the right way with diligence.”
There are many people who love setting lofty goals, but in reality, they don’t take action to achieve them, or think about how they will reach them. Is this why so many of us fail to achieve our goals?
Let’s think about how we often set goals on New Year’s Day happily, but when the time comes to December, we may not even achieve 50% of our goals. But we do this by setting goals and never reaching them, over and over again every year. And every year, we often ask ourselves, when will we finally reach our goals? Some people may even complain and talk negatively to themselves, which makes them lose their motivation and confidence. On the other hand, why don’t we ever ask ourselves, when will we start doing something?
“The meaning of success depends on who we ask this question to.”
When we were kids, our success might mean sneaking snacks to school without the teacher knowing, or pretending to be asleep when mom told us to go to bed and then secretly waking up afterwards without mom knowing. Or when we entered adolescence, our success might mean getting good grades in a difficult subject, or having a boyfriend who went to the same school, or getting a lot of pocket money for school, and there are many other goals such as getting married, having children, or starting our own successful company. These are the goals that most people set. The age or age range also has a factor that makes our goals and the tools to measure our success change accordingly.
“No one stands around waiting for success to come to them. We have to go out and find it ourselves.”
Our life may seem more difficult when we do not achieve what we hoped for. Our career or job becomes temporary and we are stuck with finances or even relationships. In order to be successful, there are 3 things we need to know first: success is very important for human life, success is our duty, and there is no shortcut to success. Therefore, if we set goals but do not plan for them and do not do anything, it means that we are reducing our chances of being successful.
“As long as we are alive, do we want to live to make our goals and dreams come true? Or do we want to live as a resource that helps others succeed?”
People who always try to develop themselves, seek advancement, and are ready to accept new opportunities and roles that come into their lives. They do not let opportunities slip away and never say that they are not ready. In fact, it doesn’t matter at all how capable you are now? Or what you can do? What matters is how much you can develop. We found that most people are often stuck with the word “not ready” because they think that they are not capable enough. Therefore, they can only be a resource that pushes others to move forward, but they themselves remain in the same place instead.
“Things don’t happen to us, they happen because of us.”
We are drawn to success simply because we are the ones who create that attraction. Failure is also the ones we draw to us. We have to be very mindful and responsible for what happens because it is very easy to be responsible when we are directly involved. But if it is a situation that we cannot control, for example, while we are giving an important presentation, but everyone in the meeting room is not listening, talking and playing with their phones. In this situation, for us, we may blame the organization for giving us such a boring topic to talk about. But for the 10X rule, he wants us to look back at ourselves. Why did we not make a boring topic into an interesting topic? And then we try to find a solution to prevent the same incident from happening again.
“The rewards will only go to those who take action.”
Our thoughts and actions are like the drivers that will take us to success in life. We will never be able to achieve high goals if we think that our life is limited. We can say that we can change the quality of our life by changing our actions. It is a little frustrating that we may not know how much we need to change ourselves to make a change.
The 10X Rule has a division and timeline of how you travel to your target as follows:
- Doing nothing : Everyone in this group has a dream, but most of them don’t take action long enough to achieve it. They would be much happier if the reasons they didn’t achieve their goals were due to lack of knowledge, lack of ability, or society not giving them opportunities, because it would make them feel better about that than admitting that they didn’t try.
- Escape : People in this group are not those who do not take action, but those who take action but do not get the results they expected. The disappointment they receive makes them choose to escape instead. The only thing this group of people should do is not to rush to conclude the situation too quickly. We may think that we have failed after trying only 2 times and it did not work. But if we try for the 3rd time, we may find a way to get a better result.
- Normal Actions : The degree to which an individual’s actions become something that society judges as acceptable or not. These people are like the middle class, nothing special. They don’t think that they have to stand in front of many people and they don’t want to be judged. So they choose to remain normal and choose to support society rather than be someone that society supports.
- Great Action : Great action is simply doing something that moves us forward, ourselves, our organizations, or our families. There is no running away, no normal action, no staying still, just consistent action to create change. This is called great action. Only these types of people can shine amidst the problems of this world.
“Great actions are the key to making our dreams and ambitions come true.”
Society makes us believe that some things are true while others are not. This is due to the perspectives of people in society. But the fact is that when it comes to goals, nothing is impossible. It is just that goals require a lot of effort compared to other goals.
“Setting goals high doesn’t mean being delusional.”
Don’t be afraid to set big goals if they can bring you joy and fulfillment. There’s a sense of accomplishment when you do something that others thought was impossible. You’ve been given the chance to prove to them that it is possible. For example, if we were in the Stone Age, it would be a crazy idea to sit in one place and think about contacting someone thousands of miles away. Now, look at us. We can still contact each other halfway around the world.
Conclusion
Life is a gift that we can use happily. Many people choose to live unhappy lives and wish that the world would end the next day because they might not get the results of their actions as they wanted. But the end depends on how each person sees it?
Will we see the first failure as the end or as the beginning of the second? The secret of success is that having a goal is like a key to open our happiness box, giving us the power to make our life better again, even if we have to give everything to get it, but make sure that we have tried 10 times harder than others for this goal.
“Special goals are for special people, and special people have to work 10 times harder than everyone else.”
